Rant for a new year.

On my way to work this morning I ended up listening to Dreamer by Ozzy and it got me thinking. What he sings about in this song is something that people have been asking for years since the big hippie movement. For people to get along, help each other, and to start taking care of our home. Now thats something I too believe in and while in the past I have been called a hippie because of my "perfect world" ideals, I honestly have to say thats not true because of this one, simple fact:

I HATE PEOPLE!!

Now there are normally two ways people address this and in return I shall address their responses.

1. "How can you say you want to see a peaceful future and want to see union in humanity when you yourself hate people?"

Answer: I would love to see a better world in the future and i do think that humanity has it in them to do it, just not right now. I dont hate people because of who they are, i hate them because of the way they are. In todays society greed, violence, and ignorance run rampant. This is the first change that needs to be made if we have any bit of hope for the future.

2. "Its not right to hate people! What makes you so much better than anyone else."

Answer: I am aware of that but its also not right living your life blind to the truth. And I dont think im better than anyone else, just smarter, wiser, and more intune to the truth behind truths.

so that being said, I hope people who read this will talk a good hard look at themselves and those around them and reailize what needs to be done.

Im reality challenged....

Ive spent the last couple of weeks budgeting the hell out of my money so I can make sure that my car is fixed and and still be able to afford a PS3. I have to say Im so excited because after a long wait I should be getting it this sunday. Im gonna pick up Little Big Planet and a few RPGs like Eternal Sonata if i can get them decently priced. Its gonna be tits.

Wikipedia Fail...

Ok...I believe I've stated before that I work in a library. I spent almost all day on a computer and as you can imagine that shit gets boring real quick. I spend most of the time reading webcomics but another of my favorite pastimes is randomly searching wikipedia articles and seeing what I come up with. Anyways, today I come into work and I got to wikipedia, hoping to kill some time, and there on the front page I see this.

HOLY SHIT GUYS!! EVIDENTLY THERE ARE GERMAN CHURCHES IN GERMANY!!!! WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME!!!

I couldn't help but laugh and I felt I needed to share this with the world. I hope you enjoyed this epic fail as much as I did.

Good Times...

I love the mornings before I get up. I dont have to be at my borning job yet. I dont have to think about my classes. I dont have to think about how my life is going nowhere fast....Just for a few minutes, everything is good. Then reality kicks in and everything goes to shit..... Yay.....

People make me laugh..

I don't have much to say but I had to post this cuz it made me laugh.

At about 2:30pm today a lady came in the library and asked me what time we closed on Friday to which I replied "We close at 3pm on Fridays." This lady then starts worrying and rushing to get her work done and I overhear her mumbling things like "hopefully I'll be able to finish this and be out of here by then." She got her work done in a few mins and rushed out the door about 2:50pm. Now if I wasn't to busy laughing to myself I probably would have told her it was Thursday (not Friday) and that we closed at 6:30pm today....

I really am an asshole sometimes aren't I?

And there it goes, folks....

In my last post I said there might be a rant depending on my day and that time has come....

only about 3 hours into the day and already I've gotten some really dumb questions. My favorite one that I've gotten a few times this morning is "Are any of these computers on?" which would be a completely valid question if it weren't for that fact that at least one of these scenarios have occurred before the question:
1. The person has walked in and spent at least 5 mins walking to each computer and messing with it to see if its in sleep mode.
OR
2. The person sat down at one computer and just stared at it for a few mins likes it supposed to pick up on their brain waves or something (which knowing these people, their brain waves couldn't get an abacus to work)

I mean seriously people...I know this is Robeson county but come the fuck on. If the computer screen is black, none of the monitor or CPU lights are on, and you sit there banging on keys for 10 mins like a neanderthal smashing a rock and get no response, what would that tell you?
It may just be me personally but I know that every time i sit down at a computer and there is nothing on the screen, the first thing I check is to SEE IF THE FUCKING POWER IS ON!!!!
Luckily, its this general lack of common sense at this school that keeps me employed. If all of these people suddenly decided to evolve past their basic primate stages then we wouldn't need lab assistants anymore, would we?

Now I'm not saying that everyone here is dumb because there are some regulars that I can actually have a decent conversation with. All I'm saying is that the people worth talking to here are in the minority.

That time of day...

Well, Im back at work today...got here at about 7:20 so far theres only one person who, other than asking me when we're closing, has been fairly quiet. The mornings here are the best. No one around and its quiet and peaceful. Its times like this that make me glad I work in this library.
Anyways, theres probally gonna be some game reviewing later on and maybe some ranting depending on how my first day back goes. So far its a pretty good day, which means some asshole is due to come in and fuck it up anytime now.
